SSMP Water Import Public Information Workshop

Monday, October 1, 2018, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
City of Coachella, Corporate Yard
53-462 Enterprise Way, Coachella, CA 92236

Please join us for a public meeting about the water import projects currently under consideration for inclusion in California’s Salton Sea Management Program (SSMP) led by the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA). The SSMP is a long-range program that concentrates on the immediate need for habitat and air quality protections and includes the development of a long-range plan as part of the first Phase I Ten Year Plan. In December of 2017, the CNRA issued a Request for Information (RFI) to evaluate proposals for a water import project to meet long-range goals of the SSMP and be considered for possible inclusion in the SSMP long-range plan. On August of 2018, three of the eleven total submittals were deemed complete and will be presented at these informational meetings.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend, provide input and ask questions about this important phase in the SSMP program.

To request special assistance or interpretation services, please contact Josh Zipperman at Josh@BurkeRix.com or call (760) 327-9708 x24.
